Palin offers her support for gay marriage; as long as it's not called marriage. No doubt surprisingly for some, when Palin claims that she is "very tolerant," the Believability Meter agrees.
The definition of marriage versus the legal rights afforded to same-sex couples has been a national political issue since a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage was discussed prior to the 2004 election. This time around, there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two tickets.
