Analysis

Simon Cowell, star of the hit show American Idol couldn't find time in his busy schedule for dinner with Barack Obama last week. Or at least that's what he told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show. A few days after President Obama ruffled feathers on Leno by comparing his bowling skills to the Special Olympics, Simon Cowell took another jab at the Celebrity-In-Chief.

The best part is that Cowell seems to be telling the truth here. The Believability Meter does go red briefly when Cowell says "I wasn't available," but that may be because he was and just didn't feel like sitting down with Obama. Other than that, Cowell's story checks out. Obama wanted to have dinner, but they never connected. The vapid politics of Hollywood aside, it's hard not to question the priorities of a president more in tune with AI than with AIG. What do you think?
