Ever wonder what goes through the mind of a killer who is trying to get away with a highly publicized missing person's case?  Scott Peterson, who was ultimately convicted of killing his wife Laci and is currently in jail, granted an interview a few weeks after her disappearance.  In the first part of this inteview Scott indicates he believes he will be considered a suspect until there is resolution to the case (:16).  According to Scott, he would like you to believe that the husband or boyfriend is always a suspect (:43) so this is not that unusual.  The court system ruled otherwise.  But right now Scott says thinking about Laci makes it "so easy to focus on what's important" (1:15) and "not to worry about all of that other stuff" (1:24).  By other stuff, do you mean being convicted of murder and spending the rest of your life in jail?
