Eric Mclean, on trial for the death of his wife's 18 year old lover, Sean Powell, takes the stand in his own defense. This case has it all: cheating spouses, custody battles, murder, even a teacher/student romance thrown in for good measure. Mclean says he just wanted to scare Powell by pointing a rifle in his face, and the gun went off accidentally, but the Believability Meter thinks that statement was rehearsed a few times beforehand. Things really get interesting when Mclean talks about contemplating suicide after the shooting. Do you feel sorry for Eric Mclean? Tell us.

Wow, Eric, "I didn't mean to" Great defense, love your lawyer. Did that excuse work with mom & dad when you came home late as a teenager? I bet it did, the inbred aren't the smartest. Are they Eric?
