More of Sarah Palin's GOP convention speech. Here she lays out Barack Obama's vision for the country, and the "fine print" of his economic plan: tax increases all across the American economy. The Believability Meter backs up Palin's assessment, but then suddenly goes red when she claims Obama will raise the tax burden on Americans by hundreds of billions of dollars. Perhaps that's because her economic plan isn't quite the model of small, efficient government she would have us all believe. Will anyone ever actually reduce wasteful government spending, and cut taxes for the middle class? Tell us what you think.

I think taxes are going up no matter who gets into office. But, Obama's vision is a redistribution of wealth! I agree with trickydick that greed will destroy this nation (it's on its way). I think Palin comes across very believable and she has a demonstrated record of being FOR the people. Obama has no record.
How the hell can we run a country without money. Cutting the country's income is a stupid thought. What really needs to be done is to spend that income with better forethought. Pork barrel spending is something that should never be allowed. We need to get that across to our Representatives before we put them in the position to make those decisions and let the States take care of taxing their own people for the improvements they want in their States. Just for the records I pay my taxes and only live on $1500 a month and don't go hungry or without shelter or cloths. Greed will destroy this Nation. Another thing GOD does not need our help. HE is GOD and only wants each of us to worship HIM not kill each other to proof our faith in HIM.
