Analysis

Chrysler CEO, Robert Nardelli, during the first round of automaker testimony on Capitol Hill. Nardelli is not very convincing here, as he tries to avoid calling the bailout a bailout, and to explain that Chrysler is making the changes necessary to survive as a company. The Believability Meter stays red while he lists the ways Chrysler has already achieved some goals. That may be because Nardelli knows that the numbers he is citing are inflated, or it may be because Nardelli knows that if Chrysler was actually making the necessary changes, he wouldn't be in front of Congress with his hand out. He and the others will almost certainly be back, will you be watching?
