Scott Nations in a video interview on Squawk Box claiming to have witnessed the intervention of the Plunge Protection Team within the stock market on certain key days in October. According to Nations, that group uses federal funds to manipulate market activity in order to preserve investor confidence and consumer confidence. The existence of the group has never been proven, and is considered very controversial. In this video, the Believability Meter seems to think Nations is sincere in his claim to have heard public admissions of such a group from top figures, including George Stephanopoulos, a former top Clinton adviser.
