Carroll is commenting on his star quarterback, Mark Sanchez, and the speculation that Sanchez might bolt for the NFL draft in the spring (see "Mark Sanchez of USC on NFL Prospects"). Of course, a few days after this press conference, Mark Sanchez announced that he would be leaving school for the NFL draft--against the advice of his coach.
