Analysis

Ed Rendell defends a statement picked up recently by a hot mic about Arizona governor, Janet Napolitano. Rendell said she's perfect as Obama's Homeland Security Director because she has no life. On CNN, Campbell Brown saw the footage and went off, claiming Rendell's comments were sexist.

Rendell, of course, denies that charge in this interview video with Wolf Blitzer. As always though, watch the Believability Meter. When Rendell says he thinks Napolitano is the "gold standard" for governors, the Believability Meter says maybe not. Ditto for Rendell's assertion that he would have said the same thing about "a man or a woman," in the same position.

By the way, did you catch Wolf Blitzer asking Rendell if he sent Gov. Napolitano a "dozen roses" to apologize? Somebody call Campbell Brown. Now who's the sexist?
