Gushy sincerity is the order of the day for Nick Lachey as he bemoans Britney Spears' plight with the media.  With friends like this... aw, never mind.  Nick should consider acting.  See if you agree with the Believability Meter.  Makes sense to us, but then again we're not Nick.
