Analysis

Nadya Suleman has drawn the ire of a disgruntled nation by voluntarily giving birth to 14 children with no apparent means to support them. In this video interview she explains why she is not behaving selfishly. Ironically, her "selfless" explanation is that her very presence will provide her children with sustenance to overcome the inevitable food shortages.

The Believability Meter cries foul in a few different places, most notably when Suleman says "I love my children." yeah right. Maybe she meant to say "I love myself and so I multiplied myself 14 times." Should society have to pick up the tab to feed and clothe any more of her brood?

I think she is sincere about wanting kids..I just think she's mentally unstable and has put her children in jeopardy of a healthy productive life as she will be in constant financial danger.

Who are we to judge whether this woman is sincere or mentally ill. I think it's difficult for us to judge that via a two minute interview. She obviously had some issues; but those are between her family, her physician, and her own conscious.

her doctor needs to be investigated. there is no way this woman should have been allowed to endanger her babies by carrying so many.
