Mike Wooten, the Alaska State Trooper formerly married to Governor Sarah Palin's sister, sits down with CNN. Even after a media frenzy that has exposed his messy divorce to public scrutiny, Wooten claims to have "fond" memories of Palin's family, although the Believability Meter thinks he may not like them as much as he lets on. More significantly though, watch the Believability Meter spike red when Wooten says he never threatened to kill his father-in-law; perhaps Governor Palin's concerns about Wooten's competency as a law enforcement officer were justified. Was Palin carrying out her duty to the taxpayers by seeking Wooten's removal, or is this just another example of executive overreach? Tell us what you think.

Friends with Wooten? Any guy who uses a tazer on his step-son is a dangerous jerk!!! A cop like that is a menace to society and should never be allowed to carry a gun!
I dated and was great friends with Mike when he was in the Air Force. It is hard to wrap my mind around him being that mean and saying he wants to kill anyone. I believe he has made some bad judgement,however, the scrutiny of his job is none of our business, nor should his family life be plastered all over the news. I think in any heated divorce and custody battle there can be negative things said, and even things taken out of context... I pray that Mike and his kids get left out of this, I don't believe that anything I have seen or heard about what has happened, should he have to explain to the general public. Good Luck MIKE...and I hope that you can get back to what is most important to you....your children and your job.
I worked with Wooten when he was in the Air Force. Actually I knew him as SrA Wooten. When I worked with him he was a peaceful and very professional person. Its pretty difficult to go through a divorce without some sort of angry emotion. Because of what I know, I think to judge him like you have is pretty pathetic. I smell scandal and its coming from Palin. For the first time in my life I will be voting Democratic. Yes thats right, Palin has destroyed my faith in the Republican party. To my ex co-worker Mike Wooten, Hang in there my friend, don't let these vultures bother you. Sooner or later they will realize they are defending a hump of executive overreach. Definite abuse of power. Why do I say that, why is she not cooperating with the investigation. Lets see, if I were innocent, I would do all I could to clear my name. If I feel threatened because they figured it out, I would throw a temper tantrum and pout. McCain, I am pretty disappointed, and I hope others are too. If you decide to take out the trash, you might have my vote. People need to see what kind of power abuser she is. I guess the roses don't smell very good anymore.
