Analysis

In the latest installment of the never ending Jon and Kate Plus 8 saga, Jon Gosselin now says he despises Kate, presumably for the way their relationship ended. It's hard to tell which of these publicity hounds is less sympathetic, but neither one does themselves much service by perpetually appearing on talk shows and bashing the other. At least being separated means they each have a babysitter when Oprah calls.

But, in case you're wondering, Jon says "Our relationship will never be fixed" and the Believability Meter says he means it. So at least that question is answered and maybe now we can all get some sleep. But it begs another question: Is there anyone left on Planet Earth who cares what happens to the Gosselins?

Well, maybe their eight children who are sure to be thrilled about all this in a few years, but nobody (least of all their parents) seems to care what any of them think.

Maybe that is really believable but another thing that is mostly many people will believe in and be thrilled about is the new X factor show that will be airing in America and will be produced by Simon Cowell. Anyone let down by Simon Cowell leaving American Idol can rest assured that he'll be back with X Factor next year – but the weird thing is that X Factor is essentially the same show. At any rate, we won't have to go too long without a cheeky British person rending some doe eyed kewpie teenager to absolute shreds – though I doubt some people would really put any payday loans into that. It's a good thing that he's bringing X Factor to the US, because there really isn't a reason to watch American Idol without him there.
