Joe Biden vigorously denies alleged campaign ties to the controversial voter registration group, ACORN, and defends Barack Obama against accusations of Marxism. But, talk about a red scare, the Believability Meter seems to disagree with Joe's claim that Obama has not paid ACORN "one penny" to register a "single voter." Such a reading could stem from reports that Obama actually paid over $800,000 in February of this year to an ACORN affiliate, or it may simply indicate Biden's discomfort with having to spin the fact that Obama has long been an outspoken supporter of ACORN's efforts.
Biden goes on to claim that he doesn't know "anybody" who thinks that Obama wants to make America a more socialist country; another statement the Believability Meter clearly regards as suspect. Perhaps Biden doesn't think fears about creeping government are quite as fringe as he would like voters to believe.
Many of Obama's opponents (Democrat and Republican) have complained bitterly about a perceived media bias toward the Senator from Illinois, but after watching this tense interview, do you believe that reporters have a duty to ask tough questions, or should they be trying harder to avoid divisive topics when our country is in crisis? You people need to get over yourselves. Of course, Obama is a true born citizen and guess what else he is... the President-elect. Thank God there were not more idiots like you who believed this crap. By the way, it doesn't matter if Obama were born on the moon. His mother was an American citizen and that makes him a citizen. Just saying someone is hiding something doesn't make it true. I believe that the news media have let the American public down by their failure to ask Obama the hard questions. For example: Mr. Obama: * When can we see the "vault copy" of your Birth Certificate? Not the "Certification of Live Birth" on your website, which is not the same thing. I understand that it is not accepted for obtaining a passport, joining the military, etc. McCain has shown his. * When will you release your record from the various schools you attended? E. g., 1. Occidental College records -- Not released 2. Columbia College records -- Not released 3. Columbia Thesis paper -- "Not available" 4. Harvard College records -- Not released You have refused to allow any of these to be made public. * When will you release your medical records? McCain released about 1500 pages; you have released only a statement from your doctor and very recently, a couple of EKGs etc. * When will you release a copy of your Selective Service registration? It is not well known, but a Congressman, Senator, or President does not undergo the background check required of others to obtain a security clearance; it is granted automatically by virtue of their election. This means that the burden of vetting the candidate falls upon the public, and their vote represents approval. To make an intelligent decision, they must know the facts. The abject failure of the mainstream news media to pursue these questions denies the public the ability to make a thoughtful evaluation. If Obama is not a native-born American citizen as alleged in Federal Court by Philip J. Berg, a lifetime Democrat lawyer and former Deputy Attorney General for Pennsylvania, (obamacrimes.com) it of far greater import than how much Sarah Palin's dresses cost or whether her daughter is pregnant. It is very late, but these questions demand to be answered before the election.
