Analysis

Jesse Jackson Jr emphatically denies that there was any offer made on his behalf to Gov. Rod Blagojevich, in exchange for Barack Obama's Senate seat. Although the Believability Meter seems to think Jackson is sincerely ignorant of any offers, there are several points where it seems he may be worried that something did take place.

Note especially the Believability Meter's reaction when Jackson says he has no intention of revising his statement when the names of those involved become public. Most likely, Jackson is hoping very much that he won't find himself connected inadvertantly through an associate. Do you think Blagojevich did anything wrong by using Obama's Senate seat to get himself a better job?
