When two celebrities decide to publicly feud there is bound to be some things said that warrant a little check with the Believability Meter. In our humble opinion "the Donald" held the high ground in this ridiculous dispute with Rosie O'Donnell about a Miss USA contestant, but who really cares. Making an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman, Trump starts out fast and furious with a flurry of short jabs including a tongue-in-cheek comment about appearing on multiple shows to bash Rosie. Pay attention to what the Meter does with two interesting comments: he believes she is a degenerate (0:33) and that Trump heard Rosie does not like Letterman (:43). The clip ends with Trump putting an interesting spin on words with his claim "HE" has fortunately never gone bankrupt (:53). Indeed Trump came close in the 1990s but never did file for personal bankruptcy but the Believability Meter catches something in his voice. Was he thinking about when Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts filed Chapter 11 bankrupcty protection in 2004? Or the earlier 1992 Chapter 11 bankruptcy of the Taj Mahal, Castle & Plaza casinos?
