Analysis

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell announces his support of Barack Obama on Meet the Press. Powell seems conflicted here to say the least, and very little of the praise he offers for either candidate is genuine, according to the Believability Meter. In fact, one of the few things Powell seems sure about is a conviction that Sarah Palin is not qualified to be President. It is entirely possible that Powell may be experiencing feelings similar to those of many voters who find themselves in the booth and forced to choose between the lesser of two evils.

Of especial interest is the Believability Meter's negative reaction when Powell calls John McCain "as nondiscriminatory as anyone I know," and then the perpetual red showing while the general reels off his reasons for supporting Obama. Is Powell really being candid about the motivation behind his defection from the GOP, or are there other factors (read: George W. Bush) at work here? Tell us what you think.

well Mr.Powell,Im sure your son thinks your a bozo! Your son Micheal is staying true to his party,THANK YOU MICHEAL!!P.S.I find it fishy that Obama went to Hawaii to see his sick granmother with his lawyers and not his kids whom wont ever see granma alive again,if in fact she as sick as Obama says she is,why lawyers,oh I know, because there better at finding fake birth papers and covering them up!!

It looks like Cheney et al's treatment of Powell is coming back to haunt them years later. What goes around comes around... I guess.

It seems in the synposis of this video clip that the author was very partisan if this web site is not a hack then the findings would be non-decriminatory but it's clearly not. I looked at the Sarah Palin video "Palin trooper scandal" and everyone knows at best she was being less than honest but the truth o-meter did bore that out in any respects. I'm sure the non college educated conservatives who visit this site will fall for it hook line and sinker. Nice try realscoop but anyone with half a brain knows there's no science behind this it's just another sad attempt by neo cons to appear non-biased e.i. FAUX News "We lie you decide."
