Rep. Dan Burton (R-Indiana) takes his turn at Brian McNamee and asks him to talk about the needles and gauze that McNamee kept for many years. The Believability Meter starts to act up as McNamee generalizes when he may have collected them (1:06) and that he did not really think about them during the time they remained in his basement (2:06). In defending his actions, McNamee states that his motivation was to protect himself, having been "hurt" by others (2:34) and claims to kept similar items from "possibly" only one other player (2:45). McNamee states that he feels horrible about being in this position and having to give the items to Congress (3:00). The final interesting part is the Believability Meter's reaction to his statement he is not lying about seeing Clemens at the Jose Canseco party (4:38). Beyond that the clip has Burton talking to Clemens and this part is not analyzed in this segment.

I don't believe this meter at all. When he says "I worked for Roger Clemens until 2007." The meter goes all the way to red... What? Or again when he says "I wrote an article for the New York Times." Red again. Obviously these are both facts that cannot be disputed, yet the meter shows red... Time to go back to the technology center.

Why didn't you run the meter on clemen's in this clip? It would be very interesting to see whether he was telling the truth.
