Analysis

Travis, the chimp who was shot and killed by police last week in Connecticut, has been widely assumed to have been under the influence of some sort of drug, perhaps the prescription anti-anxiety pill, Xanax. According to his owner, Sandy, in this video interview, those rumors are absolutely false.

According to the Believability Meter, Sandy is telling the truth. "Never never never," she says when asked if she ever gave Travis Xanax. "He's never had anything but love." If Sandy really didn't give Travis any drugs, it just makes his sudden violent outburst, and subsequent death, all the more tragic and inexplicable. Do you think people should be allowed to keep wild animals in their homes in residential neighborhoods?

I believe she is telling the truth....but she's still crazy...why have a chimp that is stronger than three men in the house living like a person. Unbelievable.
