Analysis

In this clip, Senator Biden explains Senator Obama's plan to end the war.  He knows the plan well, but does not seem to be a ready supporter.  The Believability Meter shows red when Biden discusses the plan, McCain's voting record, and when he says that he agrees with Obama on having a time-line.

The first inkling that Biden has an issue with the plan is at 7 seconds where the Believability Meter pops red when he says sixteen months for a troop drawdown. He then tries to bolster his lack of support for the plan by interjecting an attack on McCain's voting record (23 seconds).  The attack itself seems poorly timed; he discusses how the current administration's plan jives with Obama's and then shifts to McCain's war voting record (28 seconds) in a rather disjointed method. Near the end of the clip we see the Believability Meter show high red as Biden appears conflicted (43 seconds) that he and Obama "agree completely" about having a time line for drawing down the troops and shifting responsibility to the Iraqis.
