Analysis

In talking about the next federal stimulus package, Barney Frank can barely contain his glee at the prospect of increasing deficit spending, and taxing all the "rich" people he can find. Here, Frank says that fears about the consequences of such fiscal recklessness should take a "second seat," though you might actually want to be a little farther back than that when the American economy goes boom.

What boggles the mind about Comrade Frank's statement, besides the Believability Meter's verification of his sincerity, is its diametric opposition to the more moderate stance that Barack Obama has taken throughout his presidential campaign. Notice the distinct lack of mainstream media coverage being given to such dramatic inconsistencies within the Democratic leadership. Is Frank speaking the mind of the party, or is Obama? Will their real economic philosophy please stand up? Tell us where your pennies are buried.
