Analysis

Former vice president, Al Gore, defends his slideshow about the dangers of climate change and global warming. In this video interview at the Eco:nomics conference hosted by The Wall Street Journal, Gore claims that his detractors make a case that is "extremely misleading."

The Believability Meter says that Gore really does think that disputaions of his conclusions are "misleading," and considering that Gore himself has faced numerous accusations of being less than objective, he probably has a pretty good idea what misleading arguments look like. T. Boone Pickens asks Gore when they can "get going" on alternative fuels and Gore says he believes the necessary "consensus" is building rapidly. Again the Believability Meter supports him. The question is whether anybody else should. Do you want Al Gore deciding what kind of car you can drive?

I am all for Al Gore's movement to help save our planet from ourselves...or should I say save ourselves from ourselves. I think he has great credibility on this issue.
